How MIHLGSO is governed

Defines the short title, commencement (8 March 2009), key terms, and the preamble — explaining why MIHLGSO exists: to help the poor, vulnerable, orphans, widows, AIDS-affected, and to develop Mafia economically, socially, and educationally.

Establishes MIHLGSO's name, head office in Mafia, branch structure (every district + every higher learning institution with Mafia students), the three departments (Information, Financial, Social Interaction), and the area of operation across Tanzania.

Sets the vision (Mafians cooperating to build their island), mission (developing educated, disciplined, cooperative Mafians), and the nine core objectives — education, economy, social participation, orphan support, public health, brotherhood, rights, projects, and property.

Defines three membership categories — Ordinary, Graduates, and Honorable — and lists members' rights (Article 15), duties (Article 16), and grounds for termination (Article 17).

Describes the Guardian, Board of Directors (8 members), Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, General Secretary, Vice Secretary, and Treasurer — their election, terms, duties, and powers.

Establishes annual general elections, the Electro-Committee that runs them, and the term limits: one-year terms, up to two consecutive, then a three-year cooldown before contesting again.

Sets out the National, Regional, and Branch Annual General Meetings — their composition, quorum (half of members), functions (elections, approvals, strategic plans), and delegation rules.

Sets the financial year (September–August), the eight sources of funds, allowed uses, bank account requirements, the three signatories (Chair, General Secretary, Treasurer), annual reporting, and audit by qualified auditors appointed by the Board.

Constitutional amendments require a General Meeting resolution and Board approval. Dissolution needs two-thirds of members at the AGM. Defines the common seal with the registered organization name.

Explains the emblem (Island, Fish, Ocean water, Book, Graduate's cape) and the conflict-resolution procedure: a Disciplinary Committee handles disputes first; the Board steps in for higher-authority cases.
