MIHLGSO is governed by a clear vision, a focused mission, and nine core objectives — all written into our constitution.

Vision
To bring indigenous Mafians together to cooperate systematically in resolving their problems and building their island — in collaboration with non-indigenous partners.

Mission
To develop innocent, educated, disciplined, devoted, hard-working, and cooperative indigenous Mafians.

Education
Enhance education for Mafia Island people through material, moral, and financial support.
Economy
Stimulate Mafia's economy through agriculture, fishing, and commercial sectors.
Social participation
Take part in social activities and events that happen on Mafia Island.
Orphans & vulnerable
Help orphans and vulnerable children achieve their education goals.
Public health
Raise awareness among youth on protection against STI/STD/HIV/AIDS and Malaria.
Brotherhood
Grow brotherhood among Mafia people and with other institutions sharing our mission.
Rights
Defend, protect, and supervise the rights of Mafia people.
Projects
Own and run various projects for social development.
Property
Acquire and hold movable and immovable property to serve the organization's purposes.
