The Board's responsibilities
Under Article 19 of the constitution, the Board of Directors is the senior governance body of MIHLGSO. Its core duties include:
Set strategic direction
Approve the organization's plans, priorities, and long-term goals on behalf of the membership.
Oversee finances
Review and approve budgets, monitor spending, and ensure the organization's funds are safeguarded and audited.
Approve policy
Adopt the policies and rules that govern how MIHLGSO operates and how the Executive Committee acts.
Hold leaders accountable
Supervise the Executive Committee and departments, and report to members at the Annual General Meeting.
