Per Article 8, MIHLGSO operates through three departments — each with its own chair and secretary appointed by the Executive Committee.
Information
Communicates MIHLGSO's work to members, the public, and partners — and ensures records flow between branches, regions, and the national body.
Financial
Stewards MIHLGSO's funds end-to-end: bookkeeping, banking, budgets, audits, and reporting to the Board and Annual General Meeting.
Social Interaction
Builds brotherhood within MIHLGSO and with peer institutions; coordinates community events, fundraising, and outreach.

Appointment and accountability
Each department is led by a chair and a secretary appointed by the Executive Committee. Departments plan their own activities within the budgets approved by the Board, coordinate with one another, and report on their work through the Executive Committee to the membership.
